The Great Easter Escape
Humberside Airport is set for a busy bank holiday weekend, with the latest statistics predicting that 2,500 passengers will be traveling through the Airport this weekend. During the four day Easter break, figures show a 47% rise in passengers, compared to Easter 2008.
The majority of passengers using Humberside Airport over the Easter period will be traveling to Schiphol, Amsterdam with KLM. Humberside Airport operates four flights a day to Amsterdam and, once in Holland, passengers can connect to over 240 worldwide destinations.
Over the holiday period, Easter Saturday is set to be the busiest day at the Airport, with passengers jetting off to the sunny hotspots of the Canaries and Turkey.
Tony Lavan, Airport Director, Humberside Airport said, “The Easter period has provided a seasonal ‘boost’ to the numbers departing and arriving from Humberside Airport. These figures are encouraging and demonstrate that people are still looking to get away over the holiday period.”
