HAT's Off To Humberside

Staff at Humberside Airport Travel (HAT) has two reasons to rejoice when they welcomed their 5,000th customer and celebrated their second birthday within a matter of days.

Independent travel agent, HAT, owned by Humberside Airport, was given the best birthday present possible when it announced that gross turnover for July 2007 was up 45% on the previous year’s figure. This is great news for HAT who offer a wide range of travel products from not only Humberside, but all UK airports.

Lucky customer 5,000 was Julie Woodcliffe, from the Brigg area, who was presented with a bottle of champagne when she visited HAT to enquire about a holiday that she had sourced from the travel agents’ recently launched website.

Mrs Woodcliffe said
“My son Christopher and I called into HAT as we were interested in booking an all-inclusive trip to Lanzarote for the whole family to take advantage of the school holidays. I’m so glad we did - a decision which clearly paid off!”

Amanda George, Humberside Airport Travel Manager said “It is a really exciting time to be working at Humberside Airport Travel. Not only have we just had our second birthday and served our 5,000th customer, but the business itself is thriving. With the bad weather we are experiencing here in the UK, people are taking the opportunity to treat themselves to a holiday and we are naturally more than happy to help them find their perfect destination.”
