Tax and Duty Free – Departing Passengers
If you're travelling to a country inside the European Union (EU), you can buy goods at the tax free equivalent price, once you've passed through security control, which means that prices are lower* than those on the high street in the UK.
As well as Tax Free shopping for all departing passengers, you can take advantage of Duty Free shopping if you are travelling to the following parts of the world:
- Africa
- Asia
- Australasia
- Canada
- Canary Islands
- Channel Islands
- Far East
- Gibraltar
- North America
- Norway
- South America
- Switzerland
- Turkey
Please consult the Duty Free allowance charts in the duty free shop which list the limits on Duty Free goods that you may take into non-EU destinations.
Flying via EU Countries
If you're flying from Humberside via an airport in the EU to a country outside the EU (e.g. from Humberside via Amsterdam to Johannesburg), and you are holding a boarding card for your final destination, you can still buy goods at Duty Free prices at Humberside Airport.
* These lower prices apply to products which are normally subject to VAT. It excludes liquor, tobacco and items on which VAT is not payable, such as books.
