Must see:
The Jersey War Tunnels, used by the Nazis as a weapons store and field hospital during their wartime occupation, have been brilliantly converted into a fully interactive living museum – a must-see testament to the lives of the islanders during those difficult years.
Must eat at:
For fabulous sea views and relaxed al fresco seafood dining, head to Bistro Soleil in St Lawrence. Sample the lobster, crab or fresh fish and you’ll understand why it’s such a local favourite.
Must be there for:
For three days in late May, the annual Foire de Jersey combines the island’s Rose and Flower Show with the Spring Cattle Show. Expect traditional country fayre including arts and crafts, ring events, food tasting, country games, floral displays and more.
Well-travelled tips:
With hundreds of miles of paved roads, there’s no better way to explore in summer than on the back of a scooter – and there are plenty to hire on the island.
Although Jersey issues its own notes and coins, British currency is freely accepted, as are UK bank cheques and cheque cards.
Duty free shopping:
Although Jersey is in Europe, the Channel Islands are outside of the EU Value Added Tax Area so you can benefit from duty free prices on certain items purchased when travelling to Jersey through our terminals. More information.
