A new convenience store has opened for business today (30 August 2018) at Humberside Airport, which is not only aimed at passengers, but also residents on site, staff and local villagers.

The 520 sqft new store is part of an enhanced product offering throughout the airport and is operated under the Today’s Express brand. The store is open daily from 7.30am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10pm on a Sunday and incorporates a Costa Express.

The shop also stocks a wide choice of chilled foods, confectionary, muffins and cookies, sandwiches, bread and cakes, groceries, soft drinks, milk, along with wine and beer to take away. Locals from the villages in the area who use the store will be able to park adjacent to the terminal in the main car park free of charge.

A “news cube” both in the landside and airside restaurant will sell newspapers; while toiletries and a magazine offering will be available airside for early morning departures.

Deborah Zost, Humberside Airport’s Managing Director, said: “We are pleased to be able to provide our customers with a much improved offering with the opening of a brand new convenience store in the terminal and an enhanced product range throughout the airport.

“With Costa Express included, muffins, confectionary and groceries, we know this will appeal to passengers, as well as having newspapers and magazines located in airside outlets for those on early flights. Also, on-site residents, staff and local villagers will conveniently benefit from the store’s essentials like bread, milk, groceries, as well as take-away wines and beers.”

John Kinney, Retail director of the Today’s Group commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to support Humberside Airport with a Today’s Express store which will cater for passengers, staff and local people of the surrounding communities.” Humberside Airport also has café outlets landside and airside serving hot food, a duty free shop, currency exchange, on site travel agent and car rental kiosks.
