Information about Humberside Airport’s response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19): Updated 04 August 2020. Humberside Airport remains open for flights and we have followed Government advice on putting measures in place to ensure the continued safety of our customers, as well as airport staff. These measures are detailed in our new Restart & Recovery 10-Point Plan, which also includes guidance for passengers on what to expect and how to prepare for travel through the airport. You can find the plan by clicking on ‘At the Airport’ above and then ‘Security and Travel Advice, where you will find the 10-Point Plan in the Related Information. We would ask that you follow the guidance within the plan. Passengers should continue to contact their airline for any information on flights. With the return of some flights we have adjusted our airport opening times to the following: Mon-Weds 08:00 - 17:00, Thu-Fri 09:00 – 17:00, Saturday is by prior agreement, Sunday 09:00 – 11:00.

Boarding pass statement from World Duty Free Group



For World Duty Free Group it is a legal requirement specified by
HMRC to ask all passengers to show their boarding passes (stating
flight numbers and destination), when buying in our airport stores.
This procedure is accepted and common practice in duty free shops
around the world.

Unlike other airport stores, goods sold in duty free stores are
brought onto the airport ‘duty and tax suspended’ (which means
that the duty free retailer accounts for the taxes when the product
is sold to the customer). World Duty Free uses the flight destination
information on the boarding pass to ensure that any applicable
customs, excise duty &/or VAT is fully accounted for to HMRC. This
process does not allow World Duty Free to reclaim any tax from
HMRC, on the contrary it is the system agreed with HMRC that
enables World Duty Free to make the correct payment to HMRC
where applicable.
