Husky Encounter Cause Passengers to ‘Paws’ at the Humberside Airport

Superbreak HuskyHusky Encounter Surprise in Humberside – Iconic Arctic Dogs Highlight Iceland Trips

Three More Flights Direct to North Iceland Depart Humberside Airport in January & February 2019

A unique husky encounter was the star attraction for attendees at the Humberside Airport Holiday Show this weekend, as those seeking 2019 travel inspiration were invited to take a ‘paws’ from the event and experience a pack of arctic hounds.

The first encounter of its kind to be available at Humberside Airport, the huskies were hosted by Super Break and helped to inspire local holidaymakers in search of an off-the-beaten-track adventure.

Pairing wagging tails with members of the public, huskies Lumi, Jay, Phoebe, Sabre and Isla from 8 Below Husky Rescue proved to be a huge hit, highlighting Super Break’s Exclusive North Iceland Arctic Experiences.

The short break specialist provides the only opportunity to fly directly from Humberside to Akureyri in the Arctic North. Following a first departure in December 2018, three more local departures have been confirmed by popular demand, with flights to this magical winter wonderland set for take-off on 18th January, 8th February and 22nd February 2019.

Katherine Scott from Super Break said: “It was a great pleasure to help raise so many smiles at Humberside Airport yesterday with our unique husky encounters at the popular Holiday Show. We were delighted to inspire local residents to enjoy a magical arctic adventure and would like to share our thanks with the team of volunteers from 8 Below Husky Rescue for all their help.

“Super Break is incredibly excited to be the only travel brand to offer exclusive breaks to Akureyri in Northern Iceland. We thrive on offering customers unforgettable experiences and we are delighted to be connecting residents around Humberside with this incredible, off-the-beaten-track destination.”

Deborah Zost, Humberside Airport’s Managing Director, said: “Being able to offer convenient, direct flights from Humberside Airport to Northern Iceland is fantastic, and being the only UK airport to offer this number of departure dates gives even greater choice from our region.”

Super Break’s Exclusive North Iceland Arctic Experiences comprise three and four-night breaks from regional airports around the UK and offer an opportunity to experience the wonder of North Iceland. Each includes exclusive direct flights, accommodation and fantastic extras, such as a ‘Search for the Northern Lights’ excursion. To book the trip of a lifetime, visit the
