All passengers and visitors are reminded that it is once again a legal requirement to wear face-covering in all areas of the terminal building. Humberside Airport remains open for flights and we have followed Government advice on putting measure in place to ensure the continued safety of our customers as well as airport staff. These measures are detailed in our ‘Restart & Recovery 10-Point Plan’ which also includes guidance for passengers on what to expect and how to prepare for travel through the airport. Please note the Airport Operating hours are as follows: Monday-Wednesday 07:30–18:30, Thursday & Friday 07:45-18:30, Saturday 08:00–13:00 & 14:00-17:00, Sunday 08:00–13:00 & 14:30-17:30.

Job Vacancy - Air Traffic Controller

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR A VACANCY IN THE AIR TRAFFIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR AN:

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER

Reporting to the Air Traffic Services Manager, the main responsibilities and duties include:

  • To carry out Air Traffic Control functions as directed by the Air Traffic Services Manager
  • To provide operational Air Traffic Control services in compliance with published procedures and documentation
  • Responsible for the supervision of Air Traffic Control assistants and for other staff as required by the Air Traffic Services Manager
  • To assist in the provision of safety management both in the air and on the movement area

Essential requirements:

  • Air Traffic Control rating APS
  • Practical experience in an Air Traffic Control environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current regulatory regime
  • CAA Class 3 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate at Level 5 or higher
  • Understanding of customer needs
  • Communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated and team player
  • Flexibility
  • Be able to obtain a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check
  • Provision of employment history and references for last 5 years

Desirable requirements:

  • Class G operations
  • OJTI endorsement
  • ADI rating
  • APP rating
  • Meteorological Observer qualification
  • Assessor endorsement

This is a full-time position based on a shift pattern which will include early morning and evening shifts, weekend work and Bank Holidays, based on a rotating shift roster.

Salary for the role is subject to qualifications and experience.
