Super Break Launches New Exclusive North Iceland Experience from Humberside Airport for 2020

Super Break has launched a new programme of exclusive breaks to Akureyri, North Iceland – a destination previously unreachable direct from UK airports

Following the previous success of its ‘Incredible North Iceland’ breaks, short-break specialist Super Break has announced a new programme of getaways to Northern Iceland including a departure from Humberside Airport departing on 14th February 2020 - which is available to book now with just a £49pp deposit.

These ultimate one-of-a-kind breaks offers holidaymakers from East Yorkshire, the Humber and Lincolnshire the opportunity to see the north coast of Iceland at its wildest and genuinely go off the beaten track with exclusive three-night experiences.

Still the only operator in the UK to fly direct to North Iceland, the new breaks all include exclusive regional flights direct to Akureyri, a three-night hotel stay and two excursions – including the chance to hunt for the spectacular Northern Lights and visit breath-taking Game of Thrones filming locations. All trips include a Lake Myvatn Adventure – Land of Fire and Ice Tour, which offers the chance to see the region’s magical terrain, including the Goddafoss Waterfall and the boiling mud pools of Namafjall.

Holidaymakers from East Yorkshire, the Humber and Lincolnshire can also choose from a huge variety of unique experiences to add to their trip – including:

  • Myvatn Nature Baths – visit the ‘Blue Lagoon of the North’ and indulge in the relaxing geothermally heated water
  • Whale watching - head out to Eeyjafjörður with excellent chances to see the resident humpback whales, harbour porpoises and dolphins
  • Snowmobiling – explore Northern Iceland and see magnificent views of the surrounding mountains and the beautiful Krafla Volcano
  • Beer spa – discover the unique Bjorbodin spa and relax in a private room equipped with a beer bath and beer tap (providing unlimited beer!)

Flying with Titan Airways, who previously operated the 2018/19 programme, the Incredible North Iceland package has been designed to take care of everything customers need. All breaks are ATOL-protected and include transfers, hold bags, and two pre-booked excursions – as well as flights from their local airport.

Deborah Zost, Humberside Airport’s Managing Director, said: “Following on from the success of this year’s flights from Humberside Airport to Akureyri in Northern Iceland, we are delighted to see Super Break unveiling its 2020 short break programme to Northern Iceland with a direct flight from Humberside Airport again included.
